This is beautiful and touching. Your vision is a breath of fresh air. Until reading your work recently, I hadn’t completed a work of modern Christian fiction for some time. I am grateful that you reignited my desire for this genre. There’s something about stories—a message they can transcend that a narrative often cannot.
What a powerful reminder of the purpose behind our work! I haven't been advertising my books as Christian, but its important to me they represent my faith. My goals are to contradict popular false ideas about religion while introducing traditional tenets modern day readers rarely encounter.
Thank you so much for sharing that, I think your goal for your fiction is fantastic! You've identified something I myself wrestle with. That is, our philosophy should not be a marketing tool. Rather it should be our motive behind the art.
I believe art should not have to be catagorized as Christian or not. Rather the worldview of the artist should show in it. Not by being preachy, by being true and honest.
As for your goals, I'm not sure if you've ever read Guy Stanton, but his speculative science fiction is wonderful and fits your craft and desire well.
